The library includes 315 sounds that sound like cracklings, frictions as well as squashes, impacts, and cracks. A portion of the recordings was made in the field on thin ice layers that are recovering lakes. The majority of the recordings were recorded in the studio.
The sounds from the debris also offer a unique sounding texture because of the process of melting and then freezing again giving them that distinctive crispy crusty appearance.
